Hello fellow football geeks! Welcome to week 4 of the NFL season! By now youre either cursing your team for being 0-3, marveling at how you managed to be 3-0, looking to improve to .500 if youre 1-2, or, at 2-1, youre just glad the football gods chose to smile on you for at least two weeks. Hello fellow football geeks! Welcome to week 4 of the NFL season!

By now you're either cursing your team for being 0-3, marveling at how you managed to be 3-0, looking to improve to .500 if you're 1-2, or, at 2-1, you're just glad the football gods chose to smile on you for at least two weeks.

Or you could find yourself in a situation like mine: in a 10 team standard league with 8 other guys and 1 girl. The lone girl is not only undefeated at 3-0, her team has also averaged 150 points a week, and, last week defeated yours truly by a score of 146-96.

Whatever your situation is, have faith, it is a long season, and remember that the lockout has had an impact on just about every team in the league.

Without further ado, here are my picks for week 4 of the NFL regular season(FYI: this is not where you will find suggestions like start Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson, Andre Johnson, etc. There are certain guys you start every week regardless, and all of the aforementioned individuals qualify.):

Quarterbacks:

Start 'Em:

Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens vs New York Jets:  The Ravens are playing host to the Jets this week, and, while on paper the Jets boast one of the better secondaries in the league, I like this matchup for a couple of reasons. The first is that week 1 of the regular season showed me that Darelle Revis has trouble covering the bigger, more physical receivers such as a Dez Bryant. This should bode well for Anquan Boldin, who should get close to 100 yards and a score. The next is that Antonio Cromartie hasn't shown me he can consistently cover anybody, and rookie Torrey Smith could be the beneficiary of that matchup. My prediction: Flacco passes for 330 yards, 3 TDs and 1 INT.

Rex Grossman, Washington Redskins vs St. Louis Rams: Believe it or not, Rex Grossman has proved to be more than an adequate replacement for Donovan McNabb in the 'Skins passing game, throwing for almost 850 yards through three games, adding 5 TDs. The Rams are coming off a home game against Baltimore where they just got torched for 358 yards through the air. You have been warned. My Prediction: Grossman throws for 300 yards and 4 TD.

Jason Campbell, Oakland Raiders vs. New England Patriots:  The Patriots secondary must have really not liked the lockout shortened preseason, cause they're playing like training camp just opened up. Campbell passes for 370 yards 3 TDs, and 1 INT.

Sit 'Em:
Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions vs Dallas Cowboys: I know, I know, you're saying to yourself how can he be advising to sit Matt Stafford when he's been on such an incredible roll as of late. Well, the answer is easy: Dallas' defense has been on an equally impressive roll, and the game is in Arlington, Texas. My prediction for Stafford: 220 Yards, 1 TD, 2INTs

Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys vs Detroit Lions: Romo still isn't 100% yet, and, even if he is, the Cowboys offense has more problems right now than who is under center. Prediction:  200 yards, 1 TD

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers vs Houston Texans: Big Ben is banged up, hasn't played well to date, and the Houston defense is improving. Plus it's another road game, where it appears the Steelers can do no right. Stay away. Prediction 190/1TD/1INT

Running Backs:

Start 'Em:

Kendall Hunter/Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Word has it that Gore might not be able to play Sunday. Well, whomever gets the starting nod, make sure he is in your lineup. Philly's run D is absolutely dreadful. Prediction: Starting RB: 80 yards rushing, 20 yards receiving, 1 TD

Michael Turner, Atlanta Falcons vs Seattle Seahawks: Call this a hunch, but I think the Seahawks can be run on, which would benefit the one they call Turner the Burner. Prediction. 70 yards rushing, 30 yards receiving, 2 TD

Sit 'Em:

Shonn Greene, New York Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens: He may already be losing playing time to LT once again. Not only that, but they are playing the Ravens. Enough said. Prediction: 40 yards rushing, 10 yards receiving, 0 TD.

DeAngelo Williams, Carolina Panthers vs Chicago Bears: Bad matchup and Williams has yet to do anything anyway.  Prediction: 30 yards rushing.

Wide Receivers:

Start 'Em:

Torrey Smith, Baltimore Ravens vs New York Jets: See my comments on Flacco, Joe, above, and Antonio Cromartie. Prediction: 85 yards, 1 TD.

Bernard Berrian, Minnesota Vikings vs. Kansas City Chiefs: Chiefs secondary just hasn't been the same since Eric Berry went down. Prediction: 100 yards, 1 TD

Sit 'Em:
Nate Washington, Tennessee Titans vs Cleveland Browns: Cleveland actually does really well against opponents' No. 1 receiver, and, with Kenny Britt being out, Washington would appear to be Tennessee's main option. Not good. Prediction: 40 yards, no TDs

All of your Indianapolis Wide Receivers: Cause until the Colts quarterback situation is sorted out, you don't want any part of that mess.

Tight Ends:

Start 'Em:

Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints vs Jacksonville Jaguars: He's almost to the point where you should have him in your lineup every week, but it should be said at least one more week: get him in your lineup. Now

Sit ' Em:

Dallas Clark, Indianapolis Colts: See above piece about Indy Receivers.

Well, that's all for now folks, good luck in Week 4!
