Picking your starting running back and wide receivers each week isn’t too much of a challenge. Finding a solid tight end isn’t too tough either. What I have always found to be the toughest call is who to start in that flex spot we all deal with. Do I start my fourth best wide receiver over my third best running back? Should I go with a player that has had a couple of good performances in a row? Should I play two tight ends? To answer these questions each week, we have a new article: Flex Factor.

Flex Factor will provide ten of the best options for the flex play each week. None of the top 25 running backs, top 25 wide receivers, or top 15 tight ends will be included each week. Those ranks will be based off of traditional scoring (One pt per 10 rush/rec yards, six pts per TD). Here are your week 11 Flex Factor picks:

1. Laurent Robinson: Robinson has been a nice target for Romo as of late. With Austin still fighting injury I think we can expect another good week from the 26thscoring WR. Dallas plays Miami, who is giving up 250 passing yards per game. I expect the Dallas defense to provide some nice field position for the offense as well and Robinson should have a good day.

2. Santonio Holmes: Holmes saw nine targets last week but didn’t quite capitalize. Expect this week to be a great one for the 32ndscoring WR. He has a nice match-up against a Bills team that just got destroyed by Miami and is headed downhill.

3. Desean Jackson: Can you believe D-Jack is the 34thscoring WR? He is, but this week will be a breakout week for him. The Pats allow 300 passing yards per game and the Eagles will take advantage of that. Expect D-Jack to hit 20 pts for the first time this year.

4. Nate Burleson: How about the 54thscoring WR for ya? If the Packers want to win they will need to put Woodson on Megatron and play a safety to that side on every play. This means one on one coverage for Nate and the possibility of a big play or two. He should have a very solid day.

5. Johnny Knox: Knox is coming off of his best week of the season (and his only double digit performance) and will be relied on heavily to help Caleb Hanie. He is the 55thscoring wide receiver. Expect him to see quite a few targets and do well against an Oakland defense that is allowing 240 passing yards per game
.
6. Jonathan Stewart: Stewy is the 29thscoring RB but his fortunes will change against a Colts defense that can’t stop anyone. Stewy is averaging a respectable 4.5ypc and will see the ball a lot in the second half after Cam Newton puts up four scores in the first.

7. LeGarrette Blount: Blount showed what kind of a wrecking ball he can be on a 52 yard score last week where he was hit by over half the Packers’ defenders. He has a nice match-up against a Titans team that is allowing nearly 125 rushing yards per game and should find it difficult to stop Blount. He currently ranks as the 28thscoring RB.

8. Kevin Smith: Smith is the 48thRB in the league. He isn’t going to do anything close to what he did last week, but he should get the start and might see some open holes with the Packers trying to stop the pass game. Expect him to have a decent outing.

9. Shonn Greene: Greene gets a nice match-up against the Bills this week and has a chance to right the ship. He hasn’t lived up to expectations this season, but Buffalo has given up the fifth most points to running backs and Greene should see a lot of work late in the game. He should overperform on his 31stRB ranking.

10. Brent Celek: Celek is becoming an important part of the Eagles offense and he gets to play a team allowing an ungodly number of passing yards. He currently ranks as the 20thscoring TE in the league, but play him with confidence this week.

While this list isn’t all inclusive, it will hopefully give you an edge in some tough calls this week. Have a suggestion for the list or a question specific to your team? Just post it below!
