The New York Giants meet the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl for the second time in four years, February 5th. Both are coming off very hard fought victories, with the Giants defeating the 49ers, 20-17 in overtime. There are a lot of questions for both teams going in to the bye week before the Big Game. Here are five burning questions pertaining to the New York Giants:

5. Can Eli keep it up?
Eli Manning has raised himself to the top of the pedestal this season with his elite quarterback play. He threw for 4,933 yards and 29 touchdowns during the regular season, 923 yards and eight touchdowns in his three games in the post-season. Against the Pats, during their regular season meeting, he was 20 of 29 for 250 yards two TDs and a pick. If we have learned anything from watching Bill Belichick over the years is that he knows how to rattle a quarterback, by changing coverage’s and with very diverse blitz packages. Manning will have to keep up his stellar play to give the G Men a shot at their second Title in four years.

4. Can Ahmad Bradshaw get going?
The Patriots shut down Ray Rice in the AFC Championship game (21 carries, 67 yards), the Giants cannot afford to let that happen to them. New York’s run game has been inconsistent all season, ranking 7th in the playoffs and dead last in the regular season. Coach Belichick will not focus on the Giants run game, because it is not one of their strengths, so he will look to take away from Eli to force the Giants to run. Bradshaw, in 21 games, had 659 yards rushing and nine touchdowns. During his three post-season games, Ahmad is averaging 66.7 yards per game. The Giants need him to break or be close to the 100 yard mark.

3. Can Perry Fewell break the Pats offensive line?
The Giants Defensive Coordinator has been on point this offseason. Is first or tied for first in sacks (9), total tackles (153), and forced fumbles (4.) He has the talent in his defensive line to have some many different variations; the offense never knows what’s going to happen. That four defensive end set is scary because they can all rush or all drop back and cover just about anyone. New York had five sacks against New England in Super Bowl XLII. Just as that year, they need a repeat performance, from what is a maybe more talented defensive line.

2. How do you account for Rob Gronkowski?
This could be the key to the game. Gronk is as unstoppable as they come, and even with a sprained ankle that has two weeks to heal, he is still 6’6’’ 265 lbs. He still had five catches for 87 yards against the Ravens. The Giants defensive backs all have pretty decent size, so who will Coach Coughlin put on Gronk? Don’t be surprised if he goes with the rookie Prince Amukamara or Kenny Phillips. Amukamara is the nickel back a majority of the game so having him won’t take away from the starters. Phillips size and physicality makes him a great fit to guard the giant Tight End.

1. Do the Giants have enough talent to win the game?
The reason I write this is that is because Belichick has not been out coached all season long. He has taken, what I believe is by far his worst Super Bowl team, and worked wonders with them. His defense is inexperienced and untalented. There has been no run game all season. And he has developed his tight ends into number one and two wide receivers. The only reason the Pats were in the game against Baltimore is because Belichick is above and beyond a better coach than John Harbaugh. The Ravens were the better team. This should be a far different story than in the 2008 Super Bowl these two played. The Giants are the better team, but can they use their talent to get over the Bill Belichick coaching hump?
