January 30 02:18 PM According to ESPN.com, Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Jay Ratliff is reportedly leaning toward having surgery on both elbows after returning from Sunday's Pro Bowl in Miami. The first-team All Pro is expected to make his decision this weekend, but expects to be ready for spring workouts even if he opts for surgery, as expected. Read more Fantasy Spin:
Ratliff has quietly evolved into one of the better interior defensive linemen in the league. He finished second on the team in sacks (behind only DeMarcus Ware) with seven, and anchored the Cowboys' third-ranked rush defense in 2009 from his nose tackle position. Ratliff's impending surgeries are considered minor procedures, and he should be at 100% by the start of training camp. |
