Giants Take NFC East Battle With Cowboys

December 12 11:24 AM

The Giants took Sunday night's NFC East slugfest vs. the Cowboys 37-34 in Big D. New York is back on top of the division with a 7-6 mark while Dallas drops to the same record. Placekicker Don Bailey came on in the closing seconds to attempt a tying field goal, but the attempt was blocked by defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul.

Fantasy Spin:

Quarterback Eli Manning was once again a lethal gunslinger on the gridiron as he completed 27 of 47 passes for 400 yards, with two touchdowns against one interception. Eli has fired two or more scoring strikes in six of his last seven games, and has three 400-yard performances on the year. With Ahmad Bradshaw being punished with a first-half benching for breaking a team curfew rule, Brandon Jacobs bruised his way to 101 yards and two trips to paydirt on 19 totes, which marked his first 100-yard performance of the season. Bradshaw had eight carries for a measly 12 yards, to the chagrin of fantasy owners. Hakeem Nicks led the receiving corps with seven catches for 154 yards, and is an unstoppable force when not hindered by the injury bug. He topped 100 yards for the third time on the campaign. Second-year sensation Victor Cruz had another solid outing with seven grabs for 83 yards, and ranks second in the NFC with 1,159 receiving yards - and it is a shame he is not on the Pro Bowl ballot. Mario Manningham also looked good after missing the last two games with his knee injury, as he hauled in two passes for 62 yards and a touchdown, the score of which he was wide open and had Dallas coordinator Rob Ryan steaming on the sideline.
