Both quarterback Jay Cutler (thumb) and running back Matt Forte (MCL sprain) were placed on injured reserve.

Fantasy Spin:

The Bears were holding out hope that both stars could return before the end of the season, but decided to shut them down after being knocked out of the playoff hunt with their loss to the Packers in Week 16. Forte was a stud this season before going down, and should bounce back strong in 2012.
