QB Drew Brees Skips Mandatory Minicamp

June 05 03:37 PM

Saints Quarterback Drew Brees will be a ‘no-show’ at this week’s workouts. Remaining unsigned, it doesn’t surprise anyone Brees will not attend the minicamp. New Orleans and Brees have until July 16th to reach a long-term agreement, but the two sides are nowhere close to agreeing to a deal according to New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Fantasy Spin:

Brees has been one of the most reliable fantasy Quarterbacks of the last few years, throwing for a record breaking 5,476 yards and 46 touchdowns in 2011. His completion percentage was a ridiculous 71.2 percent and his interception total, 14, is a little misleading because of the number of attempts he gets, 657 last year. But with no a long-term deal and without Sean Payton calling the plays for an entire season, little can be know what 2012 holds of Brees and the Saints offense.
