Ryan Mathews May See Larger Workload vs. Carolina

December 14 05:44 PM

With Ronnie Brown expected to miss Sunday's game, the Chargers want to get Ryan Mathews heavily involved in the offense. SOURCE: Michael Gehlken, San Diego Union-Tribune

Fantasy Spin:
Gehlken expects Mathews to approach his career-high in touches (28) Sunday against the Panthers. Mathews has been largely disappointing this season, rushing for zero 100-yard games and just one touchdown while catching 36 balls for 244 yards, but Brown's absence should mean more playing time for Mathews on passing downs this week. Go ahead and start him as a RB2.
