February 02 03:55 PM Cincinnati Bengals' linebacker Rey Maualuga pled guilty Tuesday to drunk driving charges. His seven-day jail term was suspended, but he will be on probation for the next two years, and could face a brief suspension from the league to start the 2010 season. Read more Fantasy Spin:
Maualuga will probably miss only one or two games (if any) as a result of this transgression. The Bengals should be more concerned that perhaps his "wildman" persona on the field carries over to all facets of Maualuga's existence. Just one year into his career, the former USC product already has one "strike" against him, and further strays from legality will now incur far stiffer penalties from the league's disciplinary committee. |
