February 04 11:01 AM Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl defensive end Dwight Freeney says his injured ankle is improving. "It's a slow progression right now, but that's where it is. Every morning I wake up, and it feels a little better," Freeney told ESPN. Freeney tore a ligament in his right ankle near the end of the AFC Championship game against the Jets on January 24. Freeney isn't practicing and will likely be listed as questionable or doubtful for the Super Bowl, but given the obvious magnitude of the game it would be shocking if he didn't at least try to play through the pain. |
