October 28 08:01 AM Eagles running back Brian Westbrook was knocked unconscious and suffered memory loss when he sustained a concussion on Monday night against the Redskins. The concussion has therefore been classified as a "severe" or Grade 3 concussion, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. The injury will likely keep him out more than one game. Regarding Westbrook, Eagles head coach Andy Reid commented Tuesday that he's "counting on he'll be there" for this Sunday's game against the Giants. That seems far too optimistic now that we know the severity of the head injury he suffered. Fantasy owners should be prepared to not have Westbrook for several weeks. Rookie LeSean McCoy will continue to see the bulk of the work in Westbrook's absence. |
